The June 2013 Fork on the Road featured a very unique partnership with Walk Together. for a great combined event. Walk Together is an event sponsored by Welcome to Australia, a group whose goals are to develop a culture of welcome in our nation. The Walk started from the steps of Parliament House at 1pm and headed to the Fork on the Road food trucks at Rymill Park, where there were about 20 food vendors ready to serve some very yummy food (there were originally going to be over 30, but some very heavy rain and some very drenched grass put off a few). The blue skies came out just in time for the walker and forkers to arrive to fill their bellies and enjoy the live performances from groups including the Kurdish Youth Society and the Association of Australian Tertiary Students from Afghanistan.
